Webinar - adoption of wireless for safety 2015

GasSecure's CEO Knut Sandven will be one of the presenters for this webinar covering wireless technology used in a growing variety of safety applications. The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI) will present best practice guidelines for wireless safety deployments and present six wireless safety case studies from GasSecure, Yokogawa, and Honeywell.
The webinar takes place on Wed 9th December 2015 - 11am EST (USA).

ISA Process Control & Safety Symposium 2015

The anual process control and safety symposion will take place in Houston 9th-12th November. GasSecure is invited to present in the "Adoption of Wireless for Safety" session held by the Wireless Conpliance Institute (WCI) on Wednesday 11 November. Dr Carsten Buschmann from Dräger will present on GasSecure behalf a technical paper with the title 'Wireless Gas Detection Systems in the Context of Safety Critical Applications".

ISA Process Control & Safety Symposium 2014

GasSecure founder and CEO Knut Sandven will be at the ISA Process Control & Safety Symposium in Houston, USA on Tuesday 7th October presenting a technical paper. The paper covers the technology deployed within the GasSecure GS01 wireless infrared hydrocarbon gas detector and describes the development of an ultra low-power optical design based on a Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) with examples of the benefits of wireless devices and use in harsh industrial environments.

ISA Analysis Division Symposium 2014

Knut Sandven, the founder and CEO of GasSecure, will present at the 59th annual analysis division symposium, which is held in Batton Rouge, LA on May 4 - 8 2014.

Mr. Sandven will  give his talk with the title "New wireless IR gas detector for SIL2 applications using MEMS technology" in the Emerging Technology Session of the symposium.

This long-running spring symposium, sponsored by the ISA Analysis Division, continues to offer an outstanding forum for the discussion of new and innovative processes and other analytical techniques, developments, and applications.

Applied Industrial Optics 2012

Håkon Sagberg, R&D Director at GasSecure, was invited to present the latest developments at the Applied Industrial Optics Conference hosted by The Optical Society in Monterey, CA.

The Applied Industrial Optics conference offers a different networking and knowledge-sharing experience with a focus on the utilization of photonics and optical technology to solve real world problems.

Mr. Sagbergs talk with the title "Wireless infrared gas sensor" was given in the Energy and Applied Optics session of the conference.

EOSAM 2012

Britta Fismen, Sr. Technology Manager at GasSecure, was invited to speak at the European Optical Society Annual Meeting 2012 (EOSAM 2012) in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.

Launched in 2006, and since hosted every even year by the OPTO exhibit in Paris, the EOS Annual Meeting (EOSAM) has established itself as a major European event for the Optics & Photonics community with more than 600 attendees. This year it was decided to move to Aberdeen as a centre for Europe’s oil and gas industry.

Ms. Fismen's speech was given under the Topical Meeting "Optical Systems for the Energy & Production Industries" and the title was "Test installation of first wireless infrared gas detector for oil and gas industry"

Wireless Summit conference Norway 2012

This conference is an important meeting place for users of wireless field instrumentation and for companies that are palnning to deploy wireless systems.
Amongst others Simon Carlsen from Statoil shared his experience with wireless instrumentation: "Our experience shows that installation, configuration and integration is fast and simple. And comissioning costs are lower than for wired instrumentation"

GasSecure's Sr. System Architect Niels Aakvaag (Ph.D) gave a presentation on Safe Wireless. Extract from the presentation can be dowloaded here.
